What made you decide to do boudoir? Both Tiffany and I were about to move. I had unintentionally created a Virginia bucket list and having a session with her was on that list. I am a part of her boudoir Facebook group and her family page, Little Miss Reds. After dipping my toes into her work by having a fall family mini session I knew I had to do a boudoir session too! It had been a rough year and I wanted to do something for myself and feel beautiful. She definitely delivered!
Why did you decide to choose me as your photographer? I had been in your group for awhile and had seen all these great photos of beautiful women and I wanted that for myself. Between Rebel and Little Miss Reds I knew I was in the right hands. Also, being in that group showed me that you aren't some big scary photographer lady. You're a mom nurturing your business and every women with insecurities that walks into your studio. I knew you would know how to pose me and leave me with a product I would be proud to showcase in my home.
How where you feeling before your session? I was late to my shoot so I was a little flustered but as soon as I sat down for hair and makeup I felt comfortable. I remember feeling nervous, especially after changing into my first outfit. When I walked out to start the session I kept trying to hide my tummy but the thing about boudoir is that you can't hide. You showed me a lot about myself. I didn't like all of those angles at first but I do now so thank you.
How did you feel after your session? It was amazing! You made me feel comfortable. I remember you and I were talking about what it means to be healthy and how that can come in different shapes and sizes at the end of my shoot. I finally realized after a few seconds that I was still naked and should probably get dressed lol but that's how comfortable I was by the end of the session! I felt like you were a good friend I had known for years so I wasn't nervous for very long.
Waiting to see my photos was torture but worth the (short) wait. She put together a video with a bunch of the photos. The song she chose made me feel really empowered and like a total bad ass for doing the session. We video chatted for about an hour. I kept making lists of all my favorites (all of them) instead of really narrowing down what I wanted to order, which was the point of the video call. Tiffany was super patient though and I was able to email her a few days later after painstakingly deciding which photos I wanted to have printed. I ended up with a canvas, a print, and a metal on wood. All were fantastic products I would purchase again.
